Career Take 2!

Returnship ~ a short-term work trial for experienced workers seeking to re-enter the workforce after an extended career break

In partnership with Mums@Work (Career Navigators) Singapore, Schroders presents 'Career Take 2!', a 3 months returnship opportunity in Operations, Legal or Technology.

The programme is ideal for talents keen to restart their careers. Candidates shortlisted for the programme will have the opportunity to engage in the following:

  • On-boarding orientation training

  • Re-integration Support & Coaching (via JumpStart Programme)

  • Buddy support

  • Skills training initiatives

  • Business exposure opportunities


Following the programme, onward permanent employment offers may also be made available to candidates.




The Roles

The Returnship candidates will be placed into one of these departments, based on their fit and choice:


Operations is the foundation which enables Schroders to carry out its business effectively for our clients. Our business area consists of a number of Operations functions and hubs working globally across the entire client journey. We support processes from onboarding, transaction processing, asset servicing, reconciliation and reporting to our clients.
The Legal function manages legal risk within the firm by supporting business growth through the application of legal risk processes, to the take-on of new clients and the development of the firm's infrastructure. We provide legal support for the negotiation of client documentation, investment counterparty agreements and a range of agreements with third parties.
Technology sits at the heart of what we do from providing creative solutions to designing and developing cutting edge products. Our Technology department spans across the entire business and is made up of several teams and divisions supporting APAC and global Schroders offices. There is Infrastructure which forms the backbone of technology using the latest in cloud, virtualisation and automation technologies, Application Support which are the frontline of Tech to internal users, Enterprise Architecture which designs and plans the architectural landscape within Schroders and so on.

MUMS@WORK (Singapore) was set up to help mothers marry their professional experience with the shift in priorities upon the inclusion of new family members. Our main mission is to be a point of information source for mothers who want to work flexi-time or run their own Mumpreneur business so as to have sufficient time for family as well.


CAREER NAVIGATORS serve as a compass point for the woman who wants to explore new (or restart previous) career paths. Through self-discovery, training and actual hands-on experiential projects, we assist her in getting back on board and getting ready to ‘up her game’.


CAREER NAVIGATORS celebrates gender diversity and encourages companies to support the journey of these women. Acting as a partner, we strive to deliver numerous educational, tactical and strategic projects, enabling employers and job seekers to find the perfect win-win situation.
