Technology

Our Technology Division provides world-class technology services to both TD Securities and TD Bank on a global 'Follow-the-Sun' model.  Our professionals in the APAC region work within the following areas:

  • Software Development & Engineering with a focus on 'RegTech' (ie. Regulatory Technology)

  • Test Automation & Engineering

  • Engineering Operations & Support

  • Technology Controls Office focused on technology risk and regulatory compliance

  • Enterprise Information Management ('Big Data')

  • Fusion Centre focused on cyber security

  • Infrastructure Workspace

  • Infrastructure Service Centre Operations

  • Infrastructure Command Centre

 

Given the broad range of technology services and teams, we will aim to build a suitable rotation depending on the experience and background of the candidate.  For example, if the candidate is from a software development and engineering background, the rotations may be across our RegTech, Test Automation & Engineering and Engineering Operations & Support teams.  If the candidate is from an infrastructure background, the rotations may be across our Workspace, Service Centre Operations and Command Centre teams, etc.  The exact format of the rotations will be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process.

Governance and Controls

Governance and Controls, being part of TDS APAC COO office, provides critical infrastructure services that supports the trading, investment and corporate banking functions of TD Securities. The team has a governance mandate that comprises of four core areas: Access Control, Third Party Management (including Outsourcing), Reconciliations, Business Resiliency, and Business Governance and Controls.

 

Specific Attributes:

  • previous experience in a finance role within a financial institution

  • knowledge on industry regulations and escalation of high-risk transactions

  • ability to demonstrate governance, control, and risk management mindsets

Global Operations and Business Services

Global Operations and Business Services is a diverse and dynamic group of people delivering operational services to our clients. We are looking to hire a candidate within the Capital Markets Operations team which supports our Global Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Global Equities Derivatives, Money Market, Funding businesses. We operate alongside our counterparts in London, Toronto, New York and Tokyo Operations to provide support under a "Follow-the-Sun" model.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • join our team to provide support for our Capital Markets businesses.

  • be expected to contribute, lead process improvements & re-engineering and look at opportunities to create synergies across the Operations teams.

  • be tasked at assisting at upcoming MAS regulatory projects (e.g. work on confirmation design, MCAs, client onboarding to Markitwire).

Change delivery mandate is to deliver on business initiatives, regulatory change, innovation, and commercial awareness within the region. Beyond local projects, the candidate will contribute to global initiatives impacting the regions to ensure there is adequate coverage and proper transparency for local risk and operating committees as well as regional boards.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • facilitates project execution through Rapid, TD Agile, and Waterfall delivery approaches

  • supports in structuring and securing approval for business case and funding

  • establishes and manages resource plan, issues, risks and financial plans

  • expected to partner large diverse business team to effectively deliver productivity, quality and innovation

  • opportunities to participate in Asia Pacific Strategic Initiatives Forum (SIF)

Finance

TD Securities Singapore Finance is a part of the wider TD Securities Finance group. As one of the three regional finance groups for the Wholesale Banking segment of TD Bank Group, it has a key role in Singapore providing financial, management, liquidity and regulatory reporting. In addition, by its nature as a primary support and control group in the region, TDS Finance Singapore provides business information supporting projects and initiatives often as the liaison with the other groups and segments in Canada but also with the other regions (Europe and US).

 

Specific Attributes: 

  • Previous experience in a finance role within a financial institution 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Ability to work both as an individual contributor and in a team-based environment
